According to introducing, the national development and reform commission, the national energy administration, in the first half of this year has been carried out 45 billion yuan to upgrade the rural electric reform project, plus the added nearly billions of investment projects, through large-scale site to project implementation, to speed up the rural power supply conditions to improve, enhance the level of the power universal service, narrow the gap between urban and rural power, speed up the rural consumption upgrade and promote steady economic growth.

According to the international liaison department of state grid corporation, 1,189 counties will be involved in the project, which is scheduled to be completed by July 2016.
The industrial chain of power equipment manufacturing is long, and the transformation project of hundred billion agricultural network will benefit related parts and raw materials as well as upstream industries such as steel, metallurgy, non-ferrous metal, cement and electrical components.
Power equipment manufacturers will be the most direct beneficiaries of this transformation project, especially primary equipment and substations of 110kV and below, secondary equipment manufacturers of distribution networks, medium and low voltage electrical appliances enterprises, as well as enterprises involved in smart grid, distribution automation and substation automation.
According to the calculation by state grid corporation, the implementation of the new agricultural network transformation and upgrading project will drive the output value of industries such as electrician manufacturing, iron and steel nonferrous metal and construction installation to be more than 470 billion yuan, support 3.2 million jobs and increase the output value of the household electric appliance industry to more than 310 billion yuan.
According to the plan, 996 substations of 110KV and below will be built and renovated, with a capacity of 42.33 million kva and 26,000 km of lines. The key point of reconstruction is to perfect rural power grid and improve power supply quality and reliability.
The new investment is part of projects mentioned by the national development and reform commission and the energy bureau. Local power grid companies, such as China southern power grid corporation, sichuan hydropower group, guangxi water and electricity group and shaanxi local power group, also have specific renovation plans.
The national energy administration said it spent 45 billion yuan in the first half of this year on agricultural network upgrading and upgrading projects. These investments are mainly used to purchase general electric equipment such as lines, transformers, poles and towers, control systems and communication systems.
